NOBA Nordic Baltic contemporary art platform

Kunstnernes Hus is pleased to announce the exhibition GIRL FIRES UP STOVE by Norwegian artist Ida Ekblad (b. 1980) opening June 2021. The artist will be presented with paintings and sculptures in both upper exhibition halls and a monumental sculpture outside the institution. More information to follow.

Ida Ekblad (b. 1980 in Oslo) lives and works in Oslo. She received her education at the Oslo Art Academy and the Mountain School of Arts in Los Angeles and Central Saint Martins College of Art in London. Selected exhibitions include the Venice Biennial, Kunstverein Braunschweig, Kunsthaus Hamburg, Kunstmuseum Luzern og The National Museum of Art in Oslo. In 2019 she exhibited two major solo exhibitions at the Museo Tamayo in Mexico City and Kunsthalle Zürich in Switzerland.
