HANNE GRIEG HERMANSEN ”PHOTOMETRICS”

I work with drawing primarily based on photography, where technique and time use are an important part of the expression. Formally, I work mainly with pure pencil drawings, as well as more sculptural drawing-based works. Time, manual work, value shifting, illusion and the tipping point between drawing and photography are important components of my artistic work.

For the exhibition in the Tegnerforbundet I take for granted the main condition of photography, namely the light, both as a concrete form study and a study where the aim is to recreate the very effect light has on the perception apparatus. Imitating the eye and the camera as a visual and visual technology, respectively, is central to several parts of my project.
