The angels of anarchy, the sloths of an ordinary Sunday, the scheming three-headed monsters and the mythical creatures of our dreams. All those heavenly creatures, invisible things swarming around us. They seduce our imagination but escape when we try to reach them. I am able to capture them by painting.

I sit on the floor, I am alone with the paper and colors. An idea pops up in my head and the landscape around me disappears. Then I paint, I try to tell the paper only the most important things. Sometimes I succeed in doing it, sometimes I don’t. I don’t want to diminish, censor or push myself when painting. I am the scribe of the invisible. I listen to the talking of the dead and the sounds of the birds wandering in the paved yard.

A picture appears slowly. When the beginning, a tail or teeth, appears, I know that I can start a discussion. I ask in which direction we are heading. Could this be like this or like that? Sometimes the picture answers and I know what to do next. Sometimes I have to wait, look and listen – for days. Sometimes I don’t want to listen, I force my way through everything and regret it afterwards. I take a new piece of paper and start over.

When I’m ready, I go to the grocery store and buy an orange and think about the piece of trash on the road. For a moment it looked like a dead animal.
