Akvarell, paber
Watercolor painting inspired by oh, so many things- first of all the photograph of a mom polar bear hugging her sleeping cub with such immense tenderness. I’ve decided to use the contours of their bodies and fill them up with a mix of Russian traditional and Dutch ultramatine blue patterns. The name Umka is from a Soviet Russian cartoon about polar bears that lived on an ice floe. The cub was called Umka -word originates from a local language of a far north Russian inhabitants. The cartoon is about friendship, motherly love and features a very nice lullaby. Framed, ready to hang.
