Tyttelit triptych (untranslatable), 2025

36 x 20 x 20 cm

Paraffin wax

The triptych “Tyttelit” deals with the shame associated with gender and the body. The position of the torsos expresses a contradiction: the lower body opens forward, while the upper body is pulled inward. The work invites the viewer to reconsider their understanding of what a girl’s or woman’s body “should” look like – especially in relation to a pregnant belly or the fullness of the body. The work was exhibited at the exhibition “Here, in spite of it all” at Pallas Gallery.
