plasticine
In To touch and to let go, I use my childhood favorite – plasticine – to create a little space for myself in the future. The clay becomes like a painterly medium, where only with warmth and direct touch the image becomes real. Realising this had become a form of escapism, I decided to rub it out, scrape away, clean up, and let go. The visual image of the created place is not concrete – it is imagined. This work has participated in my solo exhibition “Freehand” in gallery Arka, Vilnius, Lithuania, 2025 In group show “Pebbles by the sea” in Klaipėda’s culuture and communication centre, Klaipėda, Lithuania, 2025 In group exhibition “JAM” in Pamėnkalnis gallery, Vilnius, Lithuania, 2024
