The artist´s comment on the artwork: “A year ago I participated in the exhibition “A Place Where Everything is Better”. The organizer of the exhibition, Gundega Evelone, asked artists to think about a Latvian myth that life in Estonia is better than in Latvia. I made three paintings with three tales about it. The exhibition took place in border city Valga and also in Riga.
Here is the 2nd tale-memory. It is written also in Latvian and Estonian language.

Six fingers
Estonians are strongly convinced that Latvians has six finger foots. Why so? Research has proven that on Earth use to live many human with more fingers than nowadays. From those times has stayed system of time dividing in 24 hours. More fingers were need for easier climbing up on trees. Do estonians thinks latvians are older model of human being? Or maybe they think that latvians are very strange birds?

Kuus varvast
Sellest ajast on pärit 24ks tunniks aja sisse sukeldumise tava. Samuti oli lisavarbaid vaja puudel ronimiseks. Kas eestlased arvavad, et lätlased on inimsoo esivanemad? Või peavad nad lätlasi mingiteks väga veidrateks lindudeks?”
