The artist´s comment on the artwork:
“The maximization of the “Three Monkeys” – the Japanese proverb “see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil”: in Buddhist tradition it advises not to get along with the thoughts of evil, but rather to think, speak and act with good intentions; In the West, it is usually understood as the lack of moral responsibility, trying not to see the evil executed on others, being not involved by simply not looking at it.”
