This painting is part of my graduation series exploring dreams as spaces where reality and the subconscious overlap. It depicts a human figure within a quiet winter landscape, where the stillness of the environment contrasts with the body’s instability. The figure appears suspended between falling and floating, creating a sense of uncertainty and disrupting the viewer’s perception of space. The composition deliberately blurs the relationship between foreground and background. The folds of the blanket visually echo the snow covered forest, causing the two images to merge into one another, while large pale areas suggest absence, forgotten details, or gaps in memory. The painting captures the moment of deep sleep when the dream becomes indistinguishable from reality, inviting the viewer into an ambiguous psychological space shaped by perception.
