The Master’s diploma work consists of a series of 26 paintings depicting the modern day-to-day connection with the digital environment. Screens have become an integral part of everyday life and it’s hard to imagine doing the simplest things without the help of the Internet. The average person looks at the screen for about 6 hours a day, which is about 40% of the waking hours. Our dependence on digital technology is only increasing and when the pandemic started, it further proved it’s necessity in everyday life and promoted the use of virtual assistants wherever possible. The main idea explored in the work is the connection between people and technology. About isolation in the virtual world and modern socialization. Does the Internet affect social isolation, or do people more prone to isolation use the Internet more?
