In this work, I tried to depict the process of transformation, liberation and rebirth. The work expresses the feeling of how a person can be shackled by other people’s prejudices, judgments and “bad” looks. Since we are social beings and constantly under the attention of others, these influences can begin to shape our sense of self and choices. The different layers of the work symbolize the complexity of our living environment and how much the people and society around us influence us. At the same time, the work depicts a movement towards liberation from all this – the desire to find our own path and stick to it. For me, transformation and re-creation are primarily related to personal choice: even if we are surrounded by limitations and judgments, it is possible to break through them and choose the kind of person we want to become. In addition to the size of the main image, each print has a small white border to facilitate framing.
