My work is based on the ideas of free association and automatic drawing used in psychoanalysis. Through free mechanical strokes, doodles and inscriptions emerges a visual representation of a psychological state, which in itself has an artistic value. Inspired by a common human experience – unconscious doodling and sketching with a pen that often can be found in notebooks, on newspaper margins and odd sheets of paper. I have created an image of a subconscious expressing in this way a depiction of the mental state that was formed under the influence of personal experiences and the surrounding environment of a certain time period.
