“Desire” is an artwork composed of artificial eyelashes, thread, and a metal hoop the size of a crown. It represents a spell, an amulet, enchantment, a sigh, a longing, a wish… This piece is handcrafted from meticulously shaped eyelashes, resembling butterflies. Each butterfly signifies a single gaze (four eyelashes) and is connected step by step, ensuring they do not obstruct each other’s movement. The object is highly sensitive to its surroundings, swaying with the slightest breeze. Through this work, I explore the states of sexuality, beauty, and unease, with the eyelash becoming a trace of the contemporary gaze.
