Locations is a deep dark blue intaglio print on newsprint paper, that has been folded after printing to create a grid. The unevenness creates shadows and changes the shades of the colour. The work is attached on the wall with needles through the colour area; locations, or stars or seamarks, keep the map on the wall. I have been interested in exploring, how much a map can be reduced that it still is a map. What are the fundamental gestures of mapping and defining? And what could be a map of a non-place, night sky or open sea?
