Recycled makeup on pvh panel “Layer” series consists of multiple experimental paintings and prints using recycled decorative cosmetics products. Makeup is not just a colorful material that can be used for painting or printing, it is also a big part of our societies face, so I’m interested in exploring the current role and the visual attributes it brings to it. Use of makeup seems very superficial, but is actually layered and complex and has a long history. It is a very interesting add-on to the human form, and I’m wondering how many people in our lives have actually never shown their bare face to the public. Exhibited at the cultural space “Točka”, Riga (21.08.2020 – 18.10.2020).
