Piano; wooden frame; metal tubes; canvas. Video; 23’58. Performance.
In this work, the instrument (Hexaclava) is more than an object: it becomes a meeting point for shared action and experience. The performance unfolds like a conversation, with pauses, interruptions, responses, and moments of quiet agreement. It is accompanied by video material recorded during our meetings by the participants themselves: Laura Prižginaitė, Agnė Milimavičiūtė, Eglė Pundzevičiūtė, Monika Juchnevičiūtė, Agnė Balandžiūnaitė, Eglė Bracaitė, and myself. As the instrument was being built, a women’s community was also forming around it. In this way, the work grows not only out of sound, but also out of presence, togetherness, and time spent with one another.
