Canvas on stretcher, acrylic.
The artwork was exhibited at the group exhibition Contemporary Venice at Palazzo Albrizzi-Capello, Cannaregio, Venice, in March 2026.
The work originates from an imagined situation — although, as the artist suggests, who really knows. Continuing his characteristic approach, the artist borrowed inspiration from a photograph of a colleague’s cat and transformed it into a playful fictional narrative through painting.
Blending humour with imagination, the work reflects the artist’s ongoing interest in creating emotionally charged and slightly absurd scenes from ordinary moments. By projecting human-like thoughts, emotions, and narratives onto animals, the painting explores the thin line between reality and fantasy, familiarity and fiction.
