The aim of the work is to give society a fresh vision of a skateboarding culture where self-expression is both criticized and praised. Part of society sees it as vandalism, for me, it is the art of movement. The research is based on Hieronymus Bosch’s painting “Garden of Earthly delights” through the eyes of a skateboarder. From the pleasure garden to the concrete skate park. Aesthetic appeal, or playfully hidden references. What do you see? Society’s relations, values, and parallels with the present. Self-expression fight between thyself and others. This environment is made up of memories and illusions. In my painting, I encourage to perceive movement as an art, where self-overcoming can lead to a moment of pleasure.
