Tiiu Pallo-Vaik

Tiiu Pallo-Vaik (1941) has mainly painted lyrical portraits and landscapes in a
gentle palette. She has worked primarily in oil painting and, since 1967, also in
watercolour, while from the 1980s onward she has employed mixed media and
collage. Pallo-Vaik graduated from the Estonian State Art Institute with a degree
in painting (1967) and worked for many years as a lecturer at the Estonian
Academy of Arts. She has participated in numerous exhibitions, received several
awards – including the Cultural Endowment of Estonia Lifetime Achievement
Award in 2021 – and her works are included in many collections. Pallo-Vaik is
a member of the Estonian Painters’ Association and the Estonian Watercolour
Society, and an honorary member of the Estonian Artists’ Association.
