Tiina Tammetalu (1961) is an Estonian painter. Graduated from the Estonian Academy of Arts in 1989 as a painter. Studied at the Estonian Academy of Arts in Interdisciplinary Art MA in 2003-2006. As an interdisciplinary artist, she follows the freedom of a contemporary creator to be cross-media, to freely change points of view and means of expression. Tammetalu’s paintings are characterized by powerful images, and she likes to use large formats. Her professional exhibition activity has lasted for 37 years. She has received many awards, including as a book artist. In addition to her creative work and ongoing exhibition activity, she has taught figurative painting composition at the Estonian Academy of Arts for 20 years. 1987-1989 Member of Group T. Solo exhibitions since 1990. First works in public since 1983. Member of the Estonian Artists’ Union since 1992.
