Tatjana-Aleksandra Aljautdinova is a visual artist and photographer based in Tallinn, Estonia. Her work explores memory, the body, and the quiet persistence of connection — each series growing from a personal experience that becomes a way of speaking about something shared. She works with photography and mixed media, combining photographic images with hand embroidery, hand-woven textile, and materials collected directly from nature — moss, bark, spiderwebs, thread. Double exposure, grain, and natural light shape a visual language in which the frame becomes a space for memory and feeling. Only natural materials find their way into her work; she is drawn to textures that carry a history of their own. What matters to her is the moment a viewer recognises something they cannot quite name — a sense of familiarity, of being implicated, or of quiet tension. The image holds one meaning on the surface; a second meaning lives underneath, available only to feeling. Her series Soul of Nature and Not from Somewhere Else are held in the UNESCO MONDIACULT Digital Library. Soul of Nature received shortlist recognition at Premio Valcellina (Italy, 2026). Her work has been exhibited in the UK, France, India, Finland, Scotland, and Estonia.
