Peep Pedmanson

Peep Pedmanson (born August 8, 1963, in Põltsamaa) is an Estonian humorist, cartoonist, screenwriter, and director. He graduated from Põltsamaa High School in 1981 and from the University of Tartu with a degree in journalism in 1986. After university, he briefly worked as a feature film editor at Tallinnfilm and then studied at the Higher Courses for Scriptwriters and Film Directors in Moscow, graduating in 1989 as a director-animator.
Pedmanson has worked in various Estonian film studios, including Tallinnfilm, Eesti Joonisfilm, and Nukufilm. He has created several animated films, such as “Kele” (1988), “Kilpkonnade lõppmäng” (1990), and “Eesel heliredelil” (1993). Additionally, he has been a screenwriter and director for TV series like “Vanad ja kobedad” and “Õpetajate tuba”.
In addition to filmmaking, Pedmanson is known as a cartoonist, having participated in several exhibitions. His solo exhibitions have been held at Rütman Gallery (2009) and Haki Gallery (2023).
