Otto Koskelo Emerging artist

Artist's country of origin: Finland

Otto Koskelo (b. 1996, Helsinki) is multidisciplinary artist studying in Academy of Fine Arts, University of the Arts Helsinki who has a degree in Art Education from Aalto University and previous studies in comparative literature.

By combining multiple different mediums like photography, painting and assemblages of objects, Otto is creating a multifaceted narrative, one which reflects the incontinuity

in our lives. The search for the object of desire is disrupted by the limits of one medium and then again continued by another, from another point of view. In addition to physical media their practice involves working with text and sound. The artist has participated in groups shows in Finland such as Generation 2020 at Amos Rex, Helsinki. In 2023 they had a solo exhibition at Gallery Kajava, Helsinki.
