Finnish-Finnish Romani-Karelian Mikki Noroila / Timon Mikki works between moving image and the performing arts. Their recent artistic practice has focused on the politics of memory and marginalized histories from the perspective of family histories. Noroila’s previous visual arts exhibition display was at CAL 198 Gallery, London. They have an extensive experience working in the Finnish field of the performing arts (fe. Finnish National Theatre, Baltic Circle) as a self-taught sound designer, concept designer, and performer. In their freetime Noroila plays records in a house music dj-duo A DJ Called, and as a pseudonym Mx. Kaalo.
