Liinu Laurila

Artist's country of origin: Finland

Liinu Laurila (b. 1987) graduated as a visual artist from the Arts Academy of Turku University of Applied Sciences. She paints with oil colours and tempera. She is fascinated by the feel of fabric and the trace of charcoal, which are important elements alongside the paint. Laurila likes to work in interaction with nature and paints outdoors or from sketches made there. She started her art studies at the Liminka school of Arts, during which time she received a student scholarship from Oulun Saskiat. During his studies in Turku he was an exchange student at the Universitat Politècnica de València. Laurila has participated in several group exhibitions in Finland and Berlin.
