Julia Syrzistie

Julia Syrzistie (b. 1993) works across printmaking, book arts and design for print. Her work centres around researching hidden narratives and social phenomena through a typographic lens: in particular the history of letterpress printing. In her recent work, she has been exploring decorative type, imaginary alphabets and printer’s ornaments. She is currently finishing her MFA in Printmaking at the Academy of Fine Arts in Helsinki. She holds a BA in Communication Design from the Glasgow School of Art.
