In her practice, Dijuota Žilytė connects body, textile, and ornament. Physi- cality and its symbolic as well as aesthetic features serve as the main axis around which her creative field revolves. Dijuota blends the boundaries between design and art, using fabric as her main tool of expression, ana- lysing its structure, researching more sustainable solutions for the creation and application of new fabrics in the fashion industry. Regarding her artistic concepts, the latter unfold around the symbolism and semantics that rise while contemplating the interhuman and universal problems – life and death, the growth and the transformation of an individual.
