Belliisi Seenemaa Emerging artist

Belliisi Seenemaa(born 1990) graduated from Pallas University of Applied Sciences(2017), department of textile. Before that she studied decoration and style at Tartu Art School. During her studies Seenemaa participated in a BMW sponsored art & design project, as a exchange student in Berlin, Weisensee Kunsthochschule. She has done several apprenticeships in Estonia, France and Germany where she has gathered knowledge and practice with different materials, nettle and linen processing, leather and animal skin processing, woodwork, dyeing with plants and mushrooms etc. The past years Seenemaa has focused on painting, illustrating, performance and guiding workshops. She has been working with children for about ten years in different parts of Estonia, teaching arts in Lille Youth Center, KUMU Art Museum, Hopner House and many other facilities and events. Her most recent work and research includes eco printing on textile and dyeing textile with natural pigments.
