Anu Samarüütel is an artist and designer whose practice spans several fields, including fashion design, illustration, printed textiles, jewellery, and painting. She holds an MA in Fashion from Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in London and studied industrial and fashion design at the Estonian State Art Institute (ERKI), now the Estonian Academy of Arts. In her work, Samarüütel often explores themes related to psychology, mystical worldviews, and the wild flora of Estonia. Her visual language is characterised by simple forms and symbolic motifs.
