Anna-Stiina Korhonen

Anna-Stiina Korhonen (b. 1980) is a Helsinki-based painter who deals with autobiographical themes in her figurative works. Storytelling, the essence of color and symbolism are at the heart of her expression.


She has an extensive history of solo and group exhibitions in Finland and abroad, e.g. solo exhibitions “Forbidden Outrageous Red” at HAA Gallery of Finnish Artists Association in 2023 and “Sanitarium Holiday” in 2022 at Tm-gallery of the Finnish Painters Union. In 2023, she participated in a group exhibition “Finnish in Fokus” in Baerum Kunsthall in Oslo, Norway and in 2022 in a group exhibition “Shit Art Show 5 Playa de Skidrow” in Shit Art Club gallery in Los Angeles.


She is in her final year of MFA study’s in Academy of Fine Arts in Helsinki. Anna-Stiina Korhonen had her master’s thesis work displayed at the Kuvan Kevät MFA degree show early this summer.


Her works are in several private collections and in the collection of Cafe Bar No. 9 in Helsinki, as well as works acquired for the Finnish Art Association’s art auction in 2022 and 2025.


Her works have been seen in several publications, such as the Finnish interior design magazines Asun and Deco. Her skateboard graphics have been published in the Tikari skateboards 10-year history catalog. Korhonen’s exhibitions have been written about, among others, in the Edit media web publication.
