The theme of the show is humanity’s relationship with and impact on nature and the environment, with an emphasis on plastic, the environmental problems caused by its excessive and reckless use, and our attempt to outdo nature with artificial imitations. The problem of plastic waste is today paralleled by concerns regarding the threat to biodiversity. The works derive their visual inspiration from the material aesthetics of plastic, kitsch, camp and the DIY attitude. Each animated loop lasts about 60 seconds.
