It’s autumn
and the festival is over
and all the producers
are driving all the artists to the airports
and the festival is over
and all the producers
are driving all the artists to the airports
the museum is closing
and the invigilators
want to lock the doors and turn out the lights
and go home
and the invigilators
want to lock the doors and turn out the lights
and go home
the library is closing
and the librarians are dreaming of having a bath before bed
or a hot drink maybe with pumpkin spice, or a mug of cocoa

It’s autumn
and the gallery is closing
and the unpaid work experience wants to leave
and get the train
because it’s a long wait until the next one

It’s autumn
and you don’t have to go home
but you can’t stay here

Roy Boswell is an artist from Helsinki whose work often deals with language or the amassing of vocabularies; using a wide range of forms of expression including text, performance, sculpture, sound and music composition – sometimes intermingling and hard to separate from one another. His exhibition ‘Three Waterdale Gardens’ deals with themes of attachment to physical spaces, and letting them go.
