The starting point of her paintings is often an observation, an experience or some everyday thing that gets you excited, and the painting takes shape through doing it yourself. The viewer can read and interpret paintings however they want, what they find in them, depending on their own state of mind, the moment they are in.
Helin-Åvall is a member of the Finnish Painters’ Association and the artists’ clubs of Helsinki, Espoo and Vantaa. He has held several solo exhibitions and participated in numerous joint exhibitions in Finland and abroad.
