The artist Sara Wallgren shows drawings and sound works, where the breath is in focus as a theme. By taking a breath, we fill our lungs with a loan of the surrounding air.
Through the vocal organ, the air can be compressed and formed into a voice. Central to the exhibition is a sound installation created together with composer Joe Cave. The work is based on Thomas Tallis’ “Spem in Alium”, a work for 40 voices composed in the 1570s.
