There is a presence in Roar Werner Eriksen's compositions that we can take refuge in. Visual spaces that both hide and reveal, through layers of drawing and paint strokes. The motifs are detached from our familiar world, but still feel recognizable in their abstract form. The exhibition shows a series of monumental paintings on canvas, where the compositions move between condensation and dissolution. Side by side, smaller drawings and paintings on paper are shown, where Eriksen's superb mastery of various formats is expressed. Simple strokes form harmonious compositions, which give associations to different bodily and mental states. Roar Werner Eriksen offered a sensuous and timeless visual universe that never ceases to fascinate.
