In the SOLO OSLO series, the museum focuses on the new generation of artists and mediators. The artist Admir Batlak will take over the distinctive display room on the 10th floor with his new installation, while Elisabeth Jørgensen will create a dissemination project for the exhibition. In this way, MUNCH is made into a place in motion - where contemporary art takes place and finds its way to new audience groups.
Batlak moves in the intersection between fashion, sculpture and installation, and he often experiments with different craft traditions. In his works of art there are references to various stories, social movements and popular culture. Batlak allows different elements to coexist in art, and in that way explores questions of taste, ideals and identity.
