“In the midst of the night” is an exhibition in which the beauty of nature, the finiteness and transience are central themes. The beginning and the end of life are the miracles of our existence and are strongly present in my art. The works in this exhibition are pictorial narratives, memories, and reflections of the world around us, dominated by dark shades. From the wounds of a waste land, new fragile life sprouts emerge. Tea bags, recycled paper and books are important materials for my work. They are lightweight materials that can take many forms and that I work with by hand. The connection between the glance, the work created with your hands and the subconscious plays a special role in my art pieces. The details of surface structure, the everyday and the decaying materials and their layering enrich the content and visual appearance of the works."
