What is a lifelike depiction of a piece of landscape that man has changed time and time again?
In the exhibition at LNM, a team of forest workers goes into the forest, with safety shoes, a chainsaw and a thermos. In the next scene, they take a breather on the ground, lie in the moss while eating the packed lunch, file the saw chain and drink coffee from a thermos cup, among tree stumps and felled trees.
Audar Kantun (b. 1985 in Bodø) lives and works at the edge of the forest on Nesodden. He has a BA in photography from Bergen Academy of Fine Arts (2011) and an MA from the Academy of Fine Arts in Oslo (2016). He has previously exhibited at, among others, Kraft, QB Gallery, Blomqvist, Destiny’s Atelier, V1 Gallery and Tag Team Studio. Kantun is represented by Galleri Golsa.
