Anna Nyberg builds painterly landscapes to enter with body, gaze and thought.
Nyberg wants to access the experience where the body becomes aware of its own signals, an awakening of its own being. It is the gap between the physical reality and the inner experience that interests the artist.
At Kulturcentrum Ronneby konsthall, elastic works are stretched in everyday materials such as transparent fabrics, paper, tape and paint.
The installation Everything becomes One – nothing becomes One is like a picture you can wander around in. Imaginary spatialities arise, the picture is thus mobile and changing. Objects, rooms and the visitor’s experience become one and together form the work of art.
Anna Nyberg (born 1966) lives and works in Stockholm. She has a master’s in liberal arts from Konstfack, Stockholm. She can be found i.a. represented in the collections of the State Arts Council, Uppsala Art Museum and Region Kalmar.
