This is what Jeanette says about her exhibition:
"Well you know I think I'm a gonna live
Gotta lotta love left in me to give
So I want to be free
I released my heart my soul and my mind and I'm a feelin' fine.
This text comes from the song I wanna be free recorded in 2021 with Loretta Lynn at 89 years old. She died the following year.
Vivienne Westwood, who was driving the punk movement, recently passed away at the age of 81.
Helen Mirren appeared this spring at the Cannes Film Festival with blue hair that matched the gala dress.
When you think of aunts, you smell bullbak and hear accordion music from Calle Jularbo. Do we dream of Elin?
An aunt, sweet as sugar cone, who should be self-sacrificing, humble, friend, nice and put family first.
But many of the women who are now approaching the aunt stage in life have been mods, punks or liked rock'n'roll.
En dam bland hermelinerna av Jeanette Wåhlstrand
Clay is a material that invites you to play, with form, with spatiality and anatomy. I love to capture different expressions and facial expressions. Picking out the angry, the bouncy, the slightly ugly feelings, all this with a touch of humor. The porcelain can contribute a glassy surface, a bit like old thin skin that can almost look transparent. With my ceramic sculptures, I want to pay tribute to the rebel, the perverse, the sexually active, the limitless, the grumpy and the sleazy lady at the neighborhood pub.”
