"Homeworks" is a series of interiors that focus on everyday life and situations that otherwise easily go unnoticed. They depict life as it happens and not as a right-handed facade to show others. At the same time, the stove and pipe are a receipt that something has happened here, a breakfast or dinner has been consumed or a game that continues somewhere else and there is something beautiful in that. It is also a reflection on the everyday life we experience most and which shapes us into who we are without us really thinking about it.
- Gustav Sundin
“…Refreshingly, he instead looks at the everyday life of toddler parents, flooded with toys on the parquet floor, high chairs at the kitchen table and dirty laundry in the bathroom. I really want to applaud the move; this is certainly not the most common motif of male painters.”
