A photograph has long been a representation of capturing reality as it is. But what happens when we turn it around and try to capture something impossible but make it look like it was there? Problem solving meets creativity. Here, among colorful and surreal works you can discover a world that breaks the rules of reality and encourages you to explore the limits of your own imagination. With deep contrasts and surprising elements, these works challenge your senses and take you on a journey beyond the ordinary. The photographer and visual artist Erik Johansson has previously released the photo books “Imagine” and “Places Beyond”. Now he comes with his third book entitled “Make Believe” published by the book publisher Max Ström and now the pictures are exhibited at Abecita Popkonst & Foto during the summer Erik himself has told us that many new, completely unpublished works are included, but also old favourites. – The theme continues in the same tone as previous books. It is a mixture of magical realism, a journey between inner and outer reflections and daring to take a step into the unknown
