Crossing the Blue Bridge is both the name of the exhibition and Selma Selman's new film, which is based on her mother's war memories from her hometown of Bihać in Bosnia and Herzegovina in 1994. The exhibition unites the different social and political contexts in which Selman moves, as she lives between different places, cultures and realities. Mainly it is about her Roma roots, but she also takes a position as a feminist, both in her art and as an activist. The core of Selman's artistry is a critique of prevailing norms and prejudices.
Other works in the exhibition include the video installations A Pink Room of Her Own and You Have No Idea , the sound installation Superpositional Letters to Omer , and a series of new drawings. During the opening day, Selman performs the poetic performance Superpositional Letters to Omer. In it, she directs feelings and desires to the fictional character Omer.
