At the core of the exhibition is a question regarding public space: how are everyday situations, settings, and practices governed, dictated, and/or improvised through (artifacts of) what we call a “public space”? Through representation of objects, traces, and cues the exhibition comes to impersonate a mock-up of motifs from the public sphere.
In addition to presenting a selection of artists, objects, traces, cues is a scene of working: Karjalainen and Toija will keep the exhibition open, and be present each week by working together in the gallery, for a duration amounting to a non-standard work week.
Artists: Hynek Alt, Ville Laurinkoski, Lorenza Longhi, Dominic Michel, Mia Sanchez, Julia Scher, Iveta Schovancová, Ida Stenros.
