Malin Grumstedt calls her exhibition "Constructions". This is how she tells herself about her thoughts about the exhibition;
“ Roofs, walls, doors and windows are elements ingeniously combined in everything from huts to stately palaces. We stack, wall and build to get in, out, up and under. But our constructions are constantly subject to decay and disintegration. In the end, the tower always collapses with bricks. "

The works originate from an exploration of the artistic potential of the ceramic material. Malin has experimented with different additives to the clay to influence its properties and further developed the work with ceramic intarsia, which has become something of her signature.
This is how Malin tells further; ” I have tried to find a representation of both the vulnerability and the creative power that characterizes human existence. In a world of tidal waves, storms and fires, we strive to create protection against the threatening forces of existence. Thin and fragile are the walls we travel, but still we do not give up. “
