I have summarized my recent texts as follows: My works are hand-cut combinations of collage and paper cutting, in which I use older, woodcut-based illustrations as source material, as well as news and advertising images from the paper versions of Time and Der Spiegel from recent years. Roughly divided, I overlap new and old, fact and fiction in my works. Borrowing the linear language of engravings, I build some kind of visual narratives of our time.

I seek information and comfort. Something that preserves my sanity and ability to function. I follow the news, analyses, comments, statements. My work is now intertwined with it. I do not strive for the accuracy of photojournalism, political cartoons or caricatures that I admire. But I draw from the same streams of the moment, and I sip from the streams of science and art. The taste of my cocktail is often hopeless and cynical. Sometimes funny, I hope.
