Viktorija Balkutė is a young generation artist, born and based in Vilnius. She graduated from the Justinas Vienožinskis Art School in Vilnius, and since 2019 she has been studying for her Bachelor’s degree at the Vilnius Academy of Arts, Department of Photography and Media Art. Her main fields of interest are the city and objects losing their functionality. In her free time she collects chips and observes the facades of architectural buildings. Usually the works are dictated by specific places, spaces, objects which are transferred to installations. V. Balkutė participates in and contributes to group exhibitions. Her works were presented in gallery Atletika (2020), gallery Akademija (2021), group exhibition Not Only Eyes: Lust (2022), exhibition hall Titanikas (2023).
