Drawing and traditional techniques of sculpture are closest to my heart, but I use other media like sound and video as well. The process is an integral part of my work, and the marks of making can be visible in the final outcome. I often work with moldmaking, repetition and alteration, and my works become serial and installation-like. I often draw inspiration from art and culture history, and after studying animal husbandry I have become more and more interested in our shared history with other species. Before starting MFA studies in University of Arts I had my BA in arts and culture in Saimaa UAS, Imatra, majoring in sculpture. I’ve had solo shows and taken part in several group exhibitions in Finland. Kuopio Art Museum and HUS have my works in their collections.
