This work belongs to the series AttRibuTes, in which I paint personal objects — a passport, a Polaroid, an item of clothing — not as still life, but as residues of urgency. These are things that were chosen, in the moment of leaving, to carry meaning that could not otherwise be carried. The idea emerged in 2022, in the first months after leaving Kyiv, when I began to notice how ordinary objects had quietly become evidence — of a life interrupted, of what one chooses to save when there is no time to choose. AttRibuTes was an early attempt to give these objects a language, before this inquiry developed into the broader framework of Museum of Nomad.
