Book: photopolymer print, creative writing. Intaglio ink on cotton rag paper, fountain pen ink, Pleurotus ostreatus
Creative project V. acts as the fifth attempt at introducing the entire MA research thesis on holistic complexity (“Unknowable whole: an artistic exploration of holistic complexity, interconnectedness and being”), this time completely relinquishing any attempts to explain the subject intellectually. Instead, with the help of photopolymer prints and journal-like texts, it fully surrenders to the intuitive feeling of holistic complexity in the fragments of everyday life. The resulting book is colonised and will eventually be consumed by Pleurotus ostreatus, thus suggesting that memories and experiences held within are not constricted to only human body and consciousness, but are part of a wider whole. The project was exhibited during Vilnius Academy of Arts graduation show of 2026.
